Medical Excellence and International Cycling

Posted by Dr. Martha Andrea Castro Noriega, MD

My daughter and I are having a delightful time in England. Today it will be our third day at the Advances in Medical Practice in the Changing World Congress held in London. However, we haven´t had the time to go out and explore this beautiful city on road bicycles, but we are already planning on this adventure as soon as Wednesday. We brought our jerseys, helmets and cycling shoes, ready to rock and roll on rental bicycles😀

What this medical congress is all about:

Major changes continue to occur in medical practice and education worldwide. There are increasing external and internal pressures to improve the quality of patient care, education and research performances of health professionals. These factors also bring with them various challenges in the changing World. Hence the conference on ‘Advances in Medical Practice in the Changing World’ will embrace many topics on the various issues affecting medical practice and education.

The topics to be covered during the conference include Stem cell techniques, evidence-based medicine, quality of patient care, general medicine, general practice and primary care issues, epidemiology and public health matters, pediatrics and child health issues, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory medicine, diabetic care advances, progress in respiratory diseases, medical ethics and legal issues in healthcare, medical education, medical bioinformatics, emerging food-borne disease, infectious diseases and global diseases epidemics, tropical diseases, obstetrics and gynecology and many more.

Doc!!!! You were in the UK and didn’t drop by for tea? That said, cycling in London is not the best or safest the UK has to offer. Next time pm me and I will show you some of the better places to ride in this country.
